Parker's Birthday Party

On Sunday, we celebrated Parker's birthday at the local trampoline park!  He had a few of his school friends, along with his sisters, to jump, eat pizza and cake, and open presents.

Parker is 7!!

My sweet Parker is now SEVEN!  It's hard to believe that my baby is seven.  Time is going by so quickly!

Parker has also done a lot of growing up in the last 6 months or so.  In school, he is a fantastic reader and has the neatest handwriting!  He loves EVERYTHING baseball- he is constantly swinging his arms like he's swinging a bat.  He wears necklaces all the time, which cracks me up.  That's all he wants.  Gold, silver, long, short- he about has it all. ;) He's a great little baseball player and has been mostly playing shortstop this season.  He is constantly hitting balls in the front yard into our neighbors' bushes.  Luckily, they're super awesome about it all. ;)  He has some good little friends in his class, and two moms have told me their daughters have big crushes on Parker.  Oh goodness!  Something else I'm not ready for!  He's a mommy's boy, always wanting to snuggle with me, hold my hand when we walk... sigh... it's the best.  I'm hoping this stays around for a lot longer!!

Sydney is 11!

To quote from one of Sydney's birthday cards... she's number 1, twice. ;)

My sweet Sydney officially turned 11 last week.  It's hard to believe!  In the past 6 months or so, she has really gone from being an average 10 year old to being at the start of the "tween" world.  She loves her iPad, she has a TikTok account and loves editing the videos, she Facetimes her friends a lot, she loves soccer but doesn't take it too seriously, she loves playing Roblox, she possibly has her first "boyfriend" now- sigh.  A boy likes her, she likes him, and she keeps asking me, "Mommy, how old do I have to be to have a boyfriend?"  hmmmm.  Not sure if I'm ready for all of this.  She loves playing with her friends, she'll run around the neighborhood on her bike, going to various friends' houses.  She steers clear of school drama, but she definitely recognizes it.  I guess she's warming us up for the new chapter of middle school... coming in the near future!

The Friday before her birthday, I brought cupcakes to her class at lunch:

Sunday night, she opened her present from her grandparents:

On Monday, her birthday, she got to pick the plan for the day.  (we were on fall break, and all her buddies were out of town).  We first went to Dave & Buster's- we had the whole place to ourselves!

They hit the jackpot!  

She then chose to go to Chick-fil-a for lunch:

That evening, she got to pick where we went to dinner- and she wanted to order Papa John's.  So it was a pizza/movie night kinda night!

 Later that week, we took her friend Izzy to Andretti's to celebrate!
