Summer- Week 3

June 17th-23rd

Last day in Orlando!

Soccer workouts:
The girls have a summer "curriculum" for soccer workouts (from their coaches).  Sydney has to totally improvise right now. (no 20 minute run, soccer ball juggling, push ups, planks, etc)

Braves Game:

Parker got the coveted Albies chain!  He's been wanting this for weeks!

We went to see our friends' new house in Marietta.  We went to their pool for a couple of hours, then ate dinner and hung out at their house.  Their boys, Liam and Charlie, are 7 and 5, so all the kiddos play really well together.  Wish I had taken more pics!

Movie night:

In honor of the great ET ride at Universal, we watched ET for our movie night!  The kids got the ice cream ready.

This week was SO refreshing and needed!  When we got back from our trip, I did a whole lot of nothing outside of the house for a couple of days- I unpacked, did a lot of laundry, a lot of cleaning, and errand running.  Sydney had some friends over on different days, and the kids did a lot of playing outside, playing cards, etc.  I think this was like a "detox" week for us.  Much needed.

Vacay Day #6

Monday: We were going home today!!  We had a really nice trip, but I was ready to get home.  With all 5 of us, being here for 6 days would have been totally fine.  However, it was starting to feel a little long with just the three of us. ;)

We walked to the CityWalk to get VooDoo Donuts for breakfast.  The last time we had these was when we were in Portland, so we had to check them out while we were here!

Saying goodbye to Universal!

We uber-ed to the airport, made our way through security and all, and made it home safely!  Stephen had to come and pick us up, since he and Sydney had to take the car back home last Thursday.  My mom came to hang out with Sydney so she didn't have to drive the hour to and from the airport. (thanks, Mom!)

It was a FUN trip- definitely a place we all would want to go back to!  Hopefully all 5 of us next time. ;)

Vacay Day #5

Today was supposed to be a rain out (or storm out) from lunchtime on.  We did the early admission to Universal Studios again, did the Harry Potter and Despicable Me rides, and then tried to get as much in as possible!  (This was our last day at the parks)

Once we felt like we'd done all that we had wanted to, we went back to swim for a bit.  We probably got about an hour's swim time in before they cleared the pool due to lightning in the area.

We went back to the room, I think I took another nap, and we relaxed.  I also started packing us up.  We were planning on going back to the CityWalk for dinner and a movie or putt putt, but the storms continued... they actually stuck around until after we were asleep that night!  So, we stuck to the hotel.

We went back to the hotel pool, and y'all... it was such a nice break.  This photography company comes on site and will ask if you want them to take pics of your kids.  I was like... why not?  These two girls became Taylor and Parker's little best buddies.  They stayed with T & P for an HOUR!  They would take them all around the pool, try different poses, take them to this little beach area next to the pool, etc.  It was the best "babysitting" job EVER!

And the pics cost an arm and a leg (I should've known!) but I did get two prints... and tipped them well. ;). 

After the photo session, we did some arts and crafts and played some games.

We ate dinner at Moe's at the CityWalk (a booming area with shopping and restaurants right outside of the parks).  The kids played in the splash fountain before we went back to IOA.

Post the Popeye Ride.  This was probably our favorite ride, but you get SOAKED!!  There is no way around it!
