First day of school!!

School's back in session!!  The kids started back on Wednesday, which is a good compromise of not having a full week to struggle through, yet having enough time to get accustomed to the new schedule.

Wednesday morning, the kids were up at 6:20- they were ready!!

Sydney: Sydney is in the 3rd grade!!  She's more than halfway done with elementary school now.  She has the same teacher she had in 1st grade, which she was soooo excited about.  Also, her BFF Izzy is in her class, too!  Lucky girl.

Taylor: Taylor also has a familiar face as a teacher... her KG teacher moved up to 1st!  And Taylor got her again!  Plus her little friends Lena and Addie are in there, too.  A big win for T.

Class of '29!

Parker: Parker is officially at "big school" with his sisters!  And he has the same pre-K teacher that Taylor had.  We're 3 for 3 with knowing the teachers this year!  Parker didn't know anyone in his class, but there were no tears and he has been so good (so far!).

Overall, it was a GREAT first day!  The kids came home so happy and excited.  Here's hoping it'll last!

Summer- week 10

This is only half a week (Sunday - Tuesday), as the kids start school on Wednesday!

We tried to cram in some last-minute fun this week, relishing every last minute of freedom.

Open House was Tuesday night- we already knew all three of their teachers, so the kids were very excited about that!  I worked with the PTO and Stephen took the kiddos around to their classrooms.  School, here we come!

Summer- week 9

It's the last full week of summer!!  Yep, the kiddos go back to school next Wednesday.  As much as we're not ready (we have to get up when??), I thrive on a routine and I'm definitely ready to be back in one.

They brought these really cool rockets, plus glow sticks!  The kids were entertained for hours. Taylor went home and spent the night with them. 

Wedding Photo Shoot! I assisted Ashley, my photographer friend, on a wedding shoot this week!  It was so much fun!  Definitely a dream job of mine, if only I was patient enough to actually learn about photography.  I won't post the pics here, since they are hers, but they turned out GREAT!!
