Taylor's 7th Birthday Party!

We celebrated Taylor's 7th birthday (a little early) on Sunday!  She had 8 friends (including her siblings) over for an Arts & Crafts party.  They got to paint canvases, decorate the first letter of their names, make bracelets, decorate cupcakes, and play outside.

I think everyone had a great time.  This mama definitely slept well that night.  Happy early birthday to my sweet Taylor!

Fall Soccer- Parker

Parker was in the U6 league, which is for boys turning 5 and 6- so, basically for beginners.  There are no goalies, no refs, no throw ins, no fouls... coaches stand on the field and throw another ball in when one goes out of bounds.  Sounds exciting, right?

Man, I'll tell you- Parker made these games really fun and exciting!  I didn't realize how quick he was until he played soccer this fall!  I can tell you he doesn't get that from me. ;)  He had really good ball control and also had a solid kick, though he was about 50/50 with making the goal or not.  I'd say at the end of the season he was more like 70/30.  He loved it!

Fall Soccer- Taylor

Taylor moved up a league, too- to the U8 league!  She also had the same coaches as last year (the same two that coached Sydney).  The U8 league is also very different from the previous one- they have goalies now, they have throw-ins and penalties and fouls!

There were several really good little athletes on Taylor's team.  Taylor was one of them... when she put her mind to it!  That girl has a solid kick!  I'll tell a funny story at the end.

Team Party:

The last game of the season, Taylor was kicking a penalty kick, so the other team had lined their players up in the goal to try to block it.  Taylor kicked the crap out of the ball, and it whacked the goalie in the face.  Of course, the poor girl cried and then had to sit out.  They put a new goalie in.  No lie, not even 3 minutes later, Taylor kicks a whopper into the goal and hits the new goalie in the face.  Tears, player on the bench again.  A few minutes later, she kicks the ball and hits another player in the face!  At this point, I can't control my laughter.  My parents were at this game, so it didn't help that my dad is trying to cover up his laughs, too.  SO FUNNY. 

Fall Soccer- Sydney

Soccer season came to an end a couple of weeks ago!  Sydney moved up to the U10 league, which meant a bigger field, multiple refs, and more rules they have to follow.  She had the same coaches as she did last year, and maybe 5-6 girls moved up from their team last year as well.  It was an exciting season- I think they won all but two games and one tie.  Sydney had lots of goals, showed off some really cool moves, and had a lot of playing time.

Here are some pictures from her season! I don't have as many as I would've thought- I think I was just way too into her games!  They were exciting. :)
