Happy Mother's Day!

Man, am I blessed to:

1) Have an incredible mom who raised me with so much love and care, and who is the best role model I could ever ask for.

2) Have three precious babies that I get to be Mom to. I tell you, I thank God every day for those three blessings!

This Mother's Day was very special! The kids surprised me with homemade goodies, cards, and a present. We hiked up Stone Mountain, flew a kite at the top, hiked back down, then got some ice cream. We got to be together as a family. It was a wonderful day!

Jag of the Month

Taylor was picked as the Jag of the Month for April! She was a little bit excited about it. ;). This silly girl wouldn't take a normal picture with her teacher to save her life. Here are the outtakes.

Soccer Champs!

Soccer season has come to an end! As nice as it is to have our Saturdays free, our whole family really enjoys hanging out at the soccer fields, watching the girls play.

Taylor's league doesn't technically keep score, but they have easily won all of their games this season. The girls improved so much from fall to spring, it was fun to watch! Next year, Taylor will move up to the league Sydney is now in, so it'll be that much more exciting.

Sydney's league is shoulders above Taylor's league, even though there's not much of an age difference. Sydney went from not winning a single game last year in 1st grade, to not losing a single game this season (fall and spring!). It's been fun to watch and be a part of (but holy cow- the first game she loses is going to be a complete heart breaker for her). They were undefeated during the regular season, and their last day of soccer consisted of a tournament.

At the tourney, every team was guaranteed to play 3 games, and more if they won. Sydney's team was exempt from the first round since they were sitting in 1st place based on their regular season record. They won each game, and finally made it to the championship!

They played a team that was what I would call mediocre. (They upset the team that probably should have made it to the championship). The game was SO close (way closer than it probably should've been)- the girls were so anxious. Finally, they won, 2-1! They were U-8 Champions.

I'm so proud of their hard work this season. It's been a joy to watch!

Lately

I feel like I start every post off like this, but we have been crazily busy the past month. And the next couple of weeks aren't slowing down much! Then... summer. I can't believe this school year is almost over.

I haven't had much time/energy to post lately, so I'm going to do my generic dump of pictures from the last few weeks. That way you know we are actually alive. ;)
