Alrighty, folks... this summer is going by
way too quickly! Eek! Week 6 was a crazy week!
Sunday, we went to church, and then headed into Atlanta. First, we went to see some friends who just had a baby
girl named Parker! We figured it would make sense to set the Parkers up in the future, so the two lovebirds needed to meet sooner rather than later. Not much interest was shown on this visit, but we won't give up. :) Then, we headed up to Dunwoody to see Ashley who was in town from California! Erica came over, too. We got to meet Ashley and Mike's new baby, Sutter, who is about 6 weeks younger than Parker. We also got to see Landon, who is about 2-1/2 months older than Taylor. We had a good visit, played, caught up, ate some dinner, and then headed home!
Don't take my toy...
There's plenty to go around!
Let's hug it out...
Monday, I took the kiddos to daycare and ran errands (including getting blueberry bushes from Lowe's for $2.50 each! Yay 75% off sale!) and then tackled the house. The girls' rooms are out of control, so I put up some toys, took out some new ones, made a Goodwill stack, did tons of laundry, etc. I felt very accomplished (can you tell from this blog that I love being productive?). I made a new recipe from Pinterest for dinner, and then I Bachelorette-d it up the rest of the night.
Tuesday, Stephen headed to Orlando for work, so it was just me and the kiddos. All. day. long. We didn't leave the house all day! We did the
nature scavenger hunt in the morning. I was still motivated to be productive, and luckily the girls were in a great playing mood. They played, did tea parties, colored, played with stickers, played outside, and more while I organized stuff around the house, packed for this weekend, etc.
Picnic on the playground.
Wednesday was a much crazier day than was planned. I took the kids to daycare, and I was going to go into Atlanta to meet Ashley and fam at the aquarium. Long story short (and not complete), I was feeling lightheaded/dizzy/short of breath all week, and decided to go to the doctor about it. My blood pressure was low, and my doctor (who runs all kinds of tests, it's great) did an EKG and found some sort of defect on my heart. Luckily, if it's what she thinks it is, there shouldn't be much to worry about. However, it can cause poor circulation (hence the dizziness/lightheadedness/numbness of my limbs), a slow heart rate (my BPM was in the low range) and could lead to difficulty breathing due to the lack of oxygen circulating. I go to the cardiologist in a few weeks for further tests, so, if you could, please say prayer that it is nothing serious. I also had to go get some x-rays done (she likes to rule everything out!) so that took up most of my early afternoon. So, I ended up just hanging around the house, planting the new vegetables and blueberry bushes, packed some more, did some laundry, etc. Stephen got home tonight after the kids were asleep- hooray!

Thursday was meant to be a busier day than it turned out to be. I was going to run the Peachtree- a last minute entry, Erica had found me a ticket. But, when I felt so bad on Wednesday after working out, and then hearing what the doctor told me, I decided it wouldn't be smart. So, I was actually able to get to "sleep in" until 7:30. We hung around the house all morning, and around lunch time, I headed into Atlanta with Parker to meet Ashley for coffee. Stephen took Sydney and Taylor to a friend's house for a party before the rain came in. The Loganville parade and local fireworks show were all delayed until Saturday. Boo. Darn weather. We grilled hamburgers for dinner, and settled in while the monsoon went on outside!
Festive bow attire. ?
Friday, I went to get some lab tests done (all stemming from the doc's appointment on Wednesday) and then we packed up to head to the mountains for the weekend! More on that next.
