Happenings

We've been keeping busy here lately!  Trying to stay warm (Holy cow, it got cold!) and creative (it's hard to entertain all day when "riding jeeps outside for an hour" isn't an option).

Here are some photos to show you what we've been doing to keep busy.  And sane.

Christmas Break

We had a wild Christmas break, full of ups and downs, traveling and staying put, vegging out and going out.  The main downsides were that there was a lot of rain (then cold) and Parker came down with a stomach bug (then a cold) that is still going on, 8 days later.  Bleh.  But, besides those things, we had a good time just being together.

Here are some of the things we did, besides going to South GA and celebrating Christmas/New Year's:

• Crafts:

• Movies:  This Christmas season was a good one for my girls to learn about some of the great holiday movies.  They watched all the Home Alones (1-4, who knew?), Elf, A Christmas Story, The Grinch, Polar Express, Mickey Mouse Christmas, and more.

• Sister sleepovers:  Love this built-in friendship:

• Cousins luncheon: Our annual get-together was at Mary Mac's this year.

• Six Flags:

Six Flags was to be a family affair, but poor Parker came down with a terrible stomach bug and fever that morning! :(

• Lots of playdough time:

• Learning to count (and helping me roll!) change:

• The rain was intense.  This is a picture of what is normally land with a small creek on it (towards the back).

• Working with Taylor on her reading.  Almost every night, she would fall asleep with several books around her.

We also played lots of board games, watched lots of tv (yep, I totally admit it), visited the doctor, had friends over for playdates, played outside when not raining or too cold, made more jewelry, and more.

It was a fun break.  I'm sad to not be able to see the kids all day, every day, but I'm also ready for some routine.  Back to school tomorrow!
