October!

Now that November is almost over, it's only fitting to talk about October. ;) This was a crazy, busy month!  Stephen was gone more than he was in town, including 3 weekends for trade shows.  Strep hit our household for all 3 kiddos during this time, soccer continued while basketball began, and lots of PTA events happened this month.  Besides Sydney's party, Parker's party, and Halloween, here's a glimpse at the rest of our October!

Taylor's class had an idea to put on a bake sale to raise funds for Florida schools that were ruined by the hurricane.  It was so much fun, and they ended up raising several hundreds of dollars!

Wish I had a good before picture, but there was brush all in front of those trees and along the fence- it was as tall as we were.  Stephen and I spent about 4 hours one Sunday and cleared it all out.  Whew!

Halloween 2018

Happy Halloween!

The kiddos celebrated Halloween this year with a trunk or treat, some school activities, and trick-or-treating on Halloween night.

The trunk-or-treat was fun- it was last Saturday evening, topping off a day of soccer games and basketball practice.  Our friends Leighanne, Chris, Meredith and Izzy were there, too, so we got to hang out with them.

Sunday, the kids got to dress up for church!

I helped out with Taylor's class with a cute little craft the day before Halloween.

The day of Halloween, the kids had book character dress up day- Taylor and Sydney were soccer players for The Kicks books, and Parker wore his GT paraphernalia for his "Daddy and Me go to a GT game" book.  KG, 1st and 2nd grades had a parade around the school.  Guess who didn't take any pictures? 👋. They also did a lot of fun crafts and activities (Taylor got to make a punkin'-chunkin' gadget).

Man, the weather on Halloween night was PERFECT!  It was sunny and in the 70s.  The kids got dressed and met up with other neighbors at the clubhouse to have a costume contest.  Sadly, my Zombie Soccer Player, pirate, and Batman didn't make the cut... but there were some super cute and pretty funny costumes that did win. (Those inflatable costumes crack me up!)

Sydney headed off with some of her friends in a golf cart, while I took Taylor and Parker around the 'hood and Stephen handed out candy.

So excited about getting one of those "movie" candy boxes. ;)

Our next door neighbors- they had a "Trick or Drink" table with Pumpkin Spice martinis to share for the adults, and candy for the kids.

Creeeeeepy

Sydney, who stayed out later and hit up probably the whole n'hood, came home with a pillowcase FILLED with candy.  Holy cow.  Taylor and Parker got a lot, too, and we only did about 1/3 of the n'hood.

It was a fun Halloween!

Parker's 6th Birthday Party

We had Parker's birthday party last Friday night at a nearby park.  It was a great location, because there's a playground, a big green space area, and several tables.  All we needed was pizza, cake, drinks, and toys!  And friends, of course.

A good group showed up, and I think the kids had a good time!
