February!

Taylor- Feeder Team Season

 Taylor's feeder team season has also come to an end, shorter than it probably should have!  I won't say "heartbreaking" because it wasn't the most fun or challenging season.  Their final record was 31-1 (yes, they played that many games, plus Taylor played some 7th and 8th grade games, too!).  They lost in the playoffs against a good team, but they didn't play that great... one of the dads is all about stats and he watched the game video, and apparently our team missed 46 baskets!  It just wasn't their day and it put them out of the tourney.  If it tells you anything, one of the teams that made it into the final, we beat the three times we played them by a total of almost 100 points.  The team that put us out easily won the whole thing, so there is that.

Anyways, we're all kinda glad this season is over.  Since this last post, here are some picture and video updates!

It's fun to win and all, but these kinds of games are just miserable. You feel bad for the other teams, and when we're up by this much, the starters don't even get to play that much, since our coach doesn't want to run up the score.  And yes, these scores are without us running up the score. 😟

Taylor- School Team

 Taylor's middle school season came to a heartbreaking ending... they lost by 5 in the championship game! They played a team they beat twice already (though they were very close games that could've gone either way).  They couldn't pull it out the third time! 

It was such a fun season, and the emotions after the game showed how special this team was to the girls.

Parker- Basketball CHAMPS!

 Parker's winter travel basketball season has come to an end, and they ended up being the CHAMPS!!  Their league had extremes- some teams were really good and others... not so much.  So, they split them into two groups to be fairer.  There was one team in particular that was a good match to us.  We beat them twice and they beat us once in the regular season.  We, of course, had to face them in the championship game, and it was a nailbiter... but Parker's team pulled out the W!

January- Summed Up

 January is usually the longest month EVA, but this year it seemed to fly by.  Our January summed up went like this: basketball, school, work, basketball, basketball, school, basketball, work, basketball.

No joke.  Taylor had either basketball practice or basketball games 7 days a week.  Parker had basketball 3 days a week.  It was fun and all, but, looking back, it was a lot!
