Taylor Basketball... So far

Taylor's school team season is halfway over, which is hard to believe. There are two teams, A & B. For those who make teams- if you're a 6th grader, you have to make the B team (as Taylor did last year). If you're an 8th grader, you have to make the A team. 7th graders can go either way. Taylor ended up making the A team, along with just 2 other 7th graders! (2 of the 7th graders start every game, too)

It's been a fun season, and the challenge of playing against good 7th and 8th graders on other A teams has been good. They've won 6 and lost 3, but the competition makes them better.

Charleston!

On Christmas day, my whole family (siblings, mom, aunt included) headed to Charleston! This is our 4th annual trip on Christmas day, going to different spots each year. We had such a great trip. It rained nonstop the first 1.5 days, but we had a beautiful day on the 3rd (and final) full day of our trip.

Here are some pics!

Day 1: (Christmas) Hanging out, unwrapping presents, eating a big dinner and playing games.

Day 2: We went into downtown Charleston, shopped at the markets, ate lunch out, got coffee, and tried to stay dry! My brother, sister and niece went to a bar that night.

Day 3: Half went on a battleship tour, the others went to a girls' lunch and beach visit.

Later in the evening, we did a ghost tour in downtown Charleston!

Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. I worked up until Friday, and Christmas Eve was Sunday, so there wasn't a lot of pre-Christmas fun that could be had easily. Thanks to Amazon and other online retailers, I was able to get my shopping done really early. We headed out to Charleston later in the morning on Christmas day, but we were able to eat a yummy breakfast and open presents!
