We celebrated Christmas in July at the mountain house! It's such a fun weekend, with Christmas trivia and drinks one night, a holiday bazaar the next day, and a progressive dinner the next night. Taylor invited her friend Maddie up. Here are some pics!

Well, we made it a little over a year without Taylor breaking another bone! She was on day 2 of volleyball camp when she jumped up and landed on another girl's foot... her foot rolled, and she heard two cracks. It was a little swollen. We all thought she probably sprained it, so we had her ice and elevate her ankle all day. She used one of the two pairs of crutches we have already, thanks to Sydney. ;) As the day went on, it continued to swell.
One of our neighbors is a foot doctor, so he squeezed us in the next day, to get it checked out just in case.

She had to miss out on a couple of big basketball tournaments, which has been a bummer. However, she's been the biggest trooper- she has not once complained!! She logged a lot of miles in Canada, too. We get her checked out this week (4 week check up) so I'm hoping the healing is looking good so far. Fingers crossed!
Update: her fracture is healing nicely and she is able to be out of the boot! She just has to wear a sturdy ankle brace for the next month.
We spent the weekend after the 4th of July up at the mountain house! It was SO hot and humid up there. There was no drying off. We had our annual 4th of July picnic and square dance, we played a lot of card games, and hit up the lake!
We had such a nice 4th of July this year. We had a super chill day, the kids swam and went on the inflatable slide, we ate dinner at a taco food truck that came to our neighborhood, and then we hung out in the neighborhood and watched fireworks to end the night!
