Sydney's birthday party

Sydney celebrated her 10th birthday this past weekend with a few of her friends.  Sydney, Taylor, and three of their friends joined in the celebration.

They started off by hanging out inside, playing basketball outside, doing silly string, and checking out the food.

Then, we all headed over to Main Event for Sydney's party!  There, they did the Gravity Ropes, played Laser Tag, ate dinner/had cupcakes, and played in the arcade.  It was fun!

Then, (after a solid hour trying to pick out prizes in the "shop"...) we headed back to the house.  The girls played, made ice cream sundaes, and then finally settled down to watch a movie.  I think their bedtime was around 1:30 AM.

We woke up the next morning, ate breakfast, and they kiddos played outside and watched some tv until they were picked up!

Whew, it was fun... but exhausting!

Fall Break

We had "Fall" Break in mid-September this year... which is why I have "Fall" in quotes.  It was SO early!  And SO hot!  Stephen had to leave town that week, so the kids and I did a whole lot of nothing (while our neighbors were off gallivanting on cruises and at beaches... even Europe.  Next year goals.  ha!)

It really was all good- we were still living amongst boxes so it was kind of nice to stick around.
