Sydney's basketball game:
She was only a couple of minutes into her first summer basketball game Tuesday evening, and a girl defending her tripped her up.  She hit her right knee hard on the court, heard a "pop", wailed (Stephen was there and was actually filming when it happened... her cry was something I'd never heard before! :( ) Stephen took her to the ER (meanwhile, I was at home with the other two getting them to bed early since we had to leave our house at 4:45 AM the next morning to get to the airport).  The ER doc did an x-ray, didn't see any bone damage, and said he was fairly confident it was something muscular since she heard that pop.  He said she could still go on our trip as long as she wore her soft cast, kept her leg straight, and was very careful.  He said she could wait to go to the orthopedic until we got back the following Tuesday.  Oh, timing!  Isn't it funny sometimes?  They got home around midnight, and by the time we went to bed, we only had about 3 hours of sleep that night.

First Week (and a half) of Summer!

May 30th-June 9th:

Our summer officially began on a Thursday.  Stephen was out of town, and I think I was MOST excited about not setting any alarms!  We all slept in... it was SOOO nice!  We had the best, chill day. Movies, playing outside, we got dinner out, we shopped at Target, and ended the day with soccer tryouts and playing at the park during the tryouts.

Random Stuff:

 I sleep on the same side of the bed where Parker is.  This is how he slept. I still slept on my same side. You can probably imagine how well I slept that night ;)

Other fun:
-My sister, BIL and niece spending the night.
-Summer camp in the morning for all three kiddos- Sydney did a Minecraft camp, while Taylor and Parker did a sports/scavenger hunt camp.  All three loved it!
-Our first FREE weekend in months.  We had plans to meet some friends at their pool on Saturday, but it was storming so we rescheduled.  Plus, Sydney's evening soccer practice was cancelled.  I didn't leave the house on Saturday! WHOOP!

Last Day of School!

The kiddos had to go back the Tuesday and Wednesday after Memorial Day... it was kind of silly, as the awards' days, field days, etc. were already done.  I felt for the teachers, because I know it was like glorified babysitting! ;)
