Christmas Part 1

 Another Christmas has come and go!  I feel like the older I get, the holidays seem to fly by.  I think the busy-ness of work and sports and life don't allow for us to sit back and take time to relish in the season!

We still had a great Christmas.  I'll break it down into two parts.  Christmas Eve/Christmas morning and then Christmas with my whole family!

Christmas Eve: We went to church (my mom and aunt joined us!) and then we went to my mom's house and ate pizza.  We went to our friend's house for a Christmas Eve party later that evening, which was a lot of fun.  The kiddos opened their one present that night!

Christmas morning: We woke up, did the Santa stuff, ate breakfast, and then tackled the tree!

Taylor is 15!

 My sweet Taylor is 15!!  Her birthday was the first day back from Thanksgiving break, so she spent the day at school and basketball.  We went out to dinner that night to celebrate, and opened gifts when we got home.

The next day, she went and got her permit.  Eek!

The next weekend, she and a few friends came over to the house.  We went out to dinner and then they went ice skating!  It was a fun way to celebrate.

Taylor- High School Basketball

Taylor's basketball season is officially about a month in, though they have been practicing/conditioning for it since June.  In June, they actually played games and in tournaments against other teams.  Taylor played with JV over the summer, being pulled up to Varsity the last week of summer.  (This doesn't mean it's where you'll be in the winter, it's just for the summer June season).  We were fully expecting her to make JV for the season in hopes she could eventually dress out Varsity.  We were shocked to find out she made Varsity!  Her coach wanted her and the other freshman that made it to play 4 quarters Varsity and 2 quarters JV (you can play up to 6 quarters a night).  That way, they'll get more playing time.  I was nervous she wouldn't play much on Varsity, but was surprised that she is almost always the first off the bench!  Crazy.  I love that her coach sees the potential in her.  She has a lot to work on, but he has been very complimentary of her... off the court.  On the court, he is TOUGH.  No mercy.  lol.
