Corn Dawgs and more

This weekend was really fun.  Exhausting, but fun.  It started off with Friday Night Lights, heading to a nearby school to watch my brother-in-law's team play.  They normally play schools so far away from us that we never get to see his team play!  This Friday night, they played in Monroe, so me, Stephen, and the kiddos headed over there.  We got to hang out with my sister and see several friends we know whose kids go to George Walton Academy, where the game was.  We lasted until halftime, when Parker started to melt down.

Not long after we got home, Stephen's cousin Randy, his wife Ashley, and their daughter, Addie Grace, came into town from south GA!  We stayed up and caught up, then headed to bed later than normal.

Saturday morning, Stephen and Randy headed to GT to tailgate before their game.  Ashley and I and the kiddos did some arts and crafts in the morning.  After lunch and naptime, we headed to Corn Dawgs.  Despite having to duck for cover twice because of rain, the kids had a blast!

They are so sweet.  They're only one week apart!

That night, we ate dinner, watched some football, and me, Ashley, and the kids were all asleep before 9 PM.  We were so tired.  And everyone slept in until almost 8!  What?!!

Silly selfie.

You're how old?!

My parents are the big 7-0!!!!!!  Well, they turned 70 back in September (they are only 9 days apart), but we celebrated it last weekend when my brother and his fam were in town.  We had some of their local friends join us for a casual BBQ at their church fellowship hall.  I think a good time was had by all.  The prop photo booth seemed to steal the show...

Here are the pics to tell the story:

A table of memories.

Oooh yeah... let the fun begin.

Hello, fall!

I love fall.  I love the cooler temperatures; the changing leaves; football season; fall decorations; pumpkin-smelling stuff; you name it.  This fall has entered with a bang in regards to activities.  We have been so busy!  And the next few weekends follow the pattern.

Here are things we've got going on in October/early November, and I'll link to the blogs where I write about them later.

Stephen's travel schedule is picking up, so there are some activities that I've already nixed due to me knowing it'll be way more exhausting to handle the three by myself than the fun would be worth.  :)

I've been MIA on the blog lately, but I'll try my best to slowly catch up.  I love this time of the year!!!!

Parker's Birthday!

Parker had a fun birthday, despite having it start off not-so-hot.  In the middle of the night Friday/Saturday, Parker woke up throwing up and had a little temperature.  He was mostly dry-heaving, and you could hear his little tummy rumbling.  It called for a night of little sleep for both me and him.  I worried about our day on Saturday, because we had a busy one planned!  Thankfully, Parker woke up with no temperature and never had an issue again with his stomach.  All 5 of us didn't feel completely up-to-snuff this weekend, so I'll chalk it up to a little virus.

Parker got to open his presents from us Saturday before Sydney's party.  It's funny how boys completely gravitate towards cars/trains/trucks.  That was mostly what he got for his birthday, and he LOVED them!  (no more Dora toys!)

For Sydney's party, Stephen had to wake Parker from his nap (remember- he hadn't slept much the night before) so he was a bit out of sorts.  Cranky.  However you want to put it.  Once he got his fruit salad, drink, and lollipop, he was good to go!

We then met my family up at the Mall of GA for dinner for his birthday!  His cousin, Kerrigan, offered plenty of entertainment.  He got to open presents (as did Sydney), eat, play, and enjoy the company.  He didn't even crash in the car on the ride home, which I thought he would... though he did sleep for 11 hours last night!

One of Sydney's gifts!

The cake we were all too full to eat!

Happy birthday to my little buddy!
