Parker's last day of school!

Parker's last day of preschool was today!  He has had a really good  year, and has definitely grown a lot.  He has made some good buddies in his class.  It's funny, whenever we had a little class function that involved parents, so many of them would come up to me and say, "Oh, you're Parker's mom?" (I hold my breath for a minute)... then, they'll say how their child always talks about Parker, and how he's their "best friend".  So cute.  I got to witness a moment of "best friendship" today as we dropped him off.

Anyways, his teachers have been so great and loving to Parker.  He got to experience some fun little field trips, science experiments, crafts, activities, music, chapel lessons, and lots of hugs.

Last day of school!

Yesterday was the last day of school for Sydney and Taylor.  I really can't believe how quickly this year went by!  No more packing lunches, racing out of the house at 8:33 AM to make it through car-rider lane by 8:40, and no more sitting in the car from 3:00-3:35 PM, waiting to pick up the girls... well, until August, that is.

Sydney got lots of awards!!  I'm very proud of her hard work this year.  She received addition/subtraction master, multiplication master, division master, Super Speller, Attendance, and All-A Honor Roll!

And what did the girls want to do when they got home from school?

Yep, more school.  Must be the half Georgia Tech side in them.  They surely don't get it from me.

Busy, busy, busy, busy

I feel like we've been in a little whirlwind lately, with so much going on!  We've been doing a lot of fun stuff, so there are no complaints, but I feel like we are hopping from one place or one activity to another.  Especially on the weekends.

Little Train Town

We went to some nearby botanical gardens last weekend to see them open their little train town.  We didn't know what to expect, but it was at 10 AM on Saturday morning, and anything "train" is good with Parker, so we decided to check it out.  It was so. cute.  You walk to the back of the gardens in this really shady area (not as in bad shady, just lots of trees ;), and they built this little village with train tracks all around.  Three miniature trains would travel around non-stop.  It was a decent-sized village, and the trains came around every few minutes.  The kids loved it!
