Taylor- Awards Day

Now onto Taylor... she had her 2nd Grade Awards Day last week!  She also had a great year!  She got awards in math, Reading, AR, and she was individually recognized for her writing piece selected for Young Authors for her grade!

After her ceremony, her class had a "breakfast lawn party" outside.  They played some fun relay races.

This was posted outside her room.  I had to keep this mainly to rub it in Stephen's face.  ;)

Parker- Awards Day

Parker had his first Awards Day at his elementary school last week.  He has had a fantastic Kindergarten year!  He has grown leaps and bounds, both academically and socially.

He was honored with several awards this year.  He passed all of his sight word tests, all of his math timed tests, his technology teacher picked him out of his class to get the Technology award, his teacher picked him to have the "Leadership" award in his class, and he got an Attendance award!

After the Awards Ceremony, his teacher had a little party in their classroom.

Mother's Day

I was slightly spoiled with some sweet homemade goodies for Mother's Day!  I had to document the cuteness.

It all started with a Muffins for Mom event with Taylor's 2nd grade class.  They had an adorable little concert ("You are the Sunshine of my Life", "Skinamarinky Dinky Dink" and more) and then we moms got to enjoy muffins with our kiddos.

On actual Mother's Day, we were in Stockbridge for a soccer tournament, and it was a rainy morning.  Sydney's soccer coach brought roses for all the moms... so sweet!

We went to the Atlanta United Game that afternoon, and had dinner at my favorite restaurant... Chili's! ;). 

I am super blessed to be my kiddos' mom. 💗💗💗💗💗💗

Field Trips

It's spring... 'tis the season for field trips!

Taylor's grade went to the Arrow Exterminator training center last week.  I was kind of like- Exterminator place?  But I heard from several people that it was the best field trip ever... so I had to just trust in that.

It was so much fun!!  The kids did all sorts of activities, including beetle racing and a "non" petting zoo (bugs).  The people all waited outside when the buses pulled in and lined up and cheered.  As the kids came in, they all gave high 5s and cheered.  It was really cute.  They had a picnic lunch there, a nature hike, and more!  I didn't get to stay the whole time, but I was able to pop in for about an hour to hang out and take some pictures.

Parker's class went to a barn.  I wasn't able to go to his due to work, but his teacher is awesome about sending out lots of pics.  It looks like they had fun.

Sydney's class went to Sparkles for their field trip and I was TOLD not to go on this one. ;P I guess the whole "my mom is here" thing isn't cool anymore.  Boohoo. :( She had fun, so she said...

Easter

We had a fun Easter this year.  We went to church Saturday evening, so we had the whole day of Sunday to chill with family!

My family came over to our house, and we had a huge lunch, did an Easter egg hunt, celebrated my niece, Kerrigan's, 14th birthday, and played outside/hung out inside.

Don't let her look of surprise fool you.  She "found out" about things a couple days before, if you know what I mean... 🎅🐰🦷
