Happy Halloween!

Halloween season has come and gone, even though isn't definitely hasn't felt like it... the highs have been in the mid-80s!  We got to do some fun Halloween-ish activities this year, and utilized several different costumes that we had in our little costume bin.  I'm thankful that a) we didn't have to put out a lot of $$ on costumes and b) that I didn't have to attempt to make anything!  Because that would be probably the scariest thing you'd see on Halloween. ;)

Trunk or Treat: The Wednesday before Halloween, our church held its annual trunk or treat.  We didn't do the trunk part (again) but we did get the treats.  Almost 4,000 people showed up!

Trick or Treat on Main: Our little town had a fun event on the main street on the Saturday before Halloween.  Local businesses, churches, clubs, etc. set up tables and kids got to walk around each table and trick or treat.  The line was crazy long, but the kids had fun.  We ran into Lena and her mom, so we got to trick or treat with them!  We also saw their buddy, Addie.

Pumpkin Carving: We have been so busy lately that we didn't get to carve our pumpkins until the day before Halloween.  I did one (with the help of Taylor, Parker, and our neighbors to scoop out the gunk) and Sydney did one as well.  Parker colored sidewalk chalk on his. ;)  We made some really yummy cinnamon sugar pumpkin seeds that night!

Halloween Night: We had some friends over for dinner and then trick-or-treating in the 'hood.  Despite Taylor being home sick on Halloween, she was feeling a bit better to go out that night.  They only went out for about 30-45 minutes, and I manned the house.  Sydney's beloved witch costume ripped at the Trunk or Treat, and right before our friends came over, she decided she wanted to be a ghost.  We whipped that bad boy up in about 10 minutes.  I laugh at her crooked-faced ghost costume.
