One month stats!

Parker had his one month check up at the doc today!

The stats are in... he's a big boy! (shocker!) Apparently Stephen and I create ginormous kids.

At 4 weeks, 6 days, here are Parker's stats:

Height- 23" (98th percentile)
Weight- 11 lbs, 4.5 oz (75th-90th percentile)
Head Circumference- 39-1/2 cm (98th percentile)

Here's a blurb from my blog from when Taylor had her one month check-up: (when she was actually 7 weeks old)

Height- She was 22-3/4" tall (90%)
Weight- She weighed 13 pounds, 6 ounces (95%)
Head circumference- 39-1/2 cm (95%)

Just a little comparison to Sydney at 9 weeks...

Sydney was 22" long.
Sydney weighed 11 pounds, 1 ounce.

So, he is an inch taller than Sydney was when he's 4 weeks younger. He's about 4 ounces more than Sydney, 4 weeks younger. He is taller than Taylor was when she was 2 weeks older than him!

So, since birth, he has grown 2 inches and gained 1 pound, 10.5 ounces.

The great news is that the doctor said he looks very healthy! He does sound congested, but she said that it's not in his chest, thank goodness. We are to do saline drops every day and see if that helps. He got one shot, and cried pretty hard afterwards. Luckily, I had saved his bottle for just after that shot, so he calmed down, drank his bottle, and had a good 3 hour long nap.

So thankful for a healthy child!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!! Ahh, the wonderful holiday consisting of dressing up and getting sugared up. My daughters fulfilled both of those tonight. Parker, just one.

The day started off with my mom (who faithfully offered a hand or two of support when Stephen was out of town last night) and I scrambling to get the girls dressed in their costumes for school and there on time. We tried to take a few pictures before. It sure is hard to get three kiddos successfully photographed.

The girls got to trick-or-treat at their daycare, and came home with lots of candy and treats. Our friends, Kristin and David, and their daughter, Savannah, came over for dinner and trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. Sydney and Savannah had a lot of fun together. The guys took the girls out to get candy, and Kristin and I manned the passing out of the candy/holding Parker. Sydney apparently had a few meltdowns about hearing dogs barking when she'd go to certain houses, so Stephen brought her home until she could cheer up. We had a little chat and we called Stephen about 10 minutes later, with a plan on what to do with the dog situation. After that, all seemed to be well. whew. The girls made it home with tons of candy. I made a "two pieces of candy per day" rule, and man, this candy will be around for a while with that rule!

One month!

Parker is one month old!! (How did THAT happen??)

He has had a very exciting month, even though approximately 75% of it was spent snoozing. At least I've been able to be very productive around the house.

He's done lots of other things, such as:

Being born.
Meeting almost all of mommy and daddy's friends and family- at least, the ones within a one hour radius of our home.
Getting over his jaundice and finally putting on some weight! (yay!)
Going to church, twice.
Drinking 3.5 ounces in each bottle.
Catching his first cold. :( (Already?? I know.)
Getting lots of kisses from his sisters. (Hmmm... could have something to do with the cold.)
Smiling in his sleep.
Sleeping in 3-4 hour stretches.

Good times

Things around our household have been calming down a bit, and I think we are all getting used to things, getting into routines, etc. Thank goodness. I am all about getting back to normal. (Have I mentioned before that I'm not always good with change?) Though Parker is a very welcomed change, so I'm thankful for him. :)

Sydney went on her first field trip with her school on Friday!!! She was so excited all week about riding the bus and taking a sack lunch. They went to Corn Dawgs (remember that place?) and got to play on all the fun activities, while having the park to themselves! Even though I wanted to come to see the fun, I had to miss out because of a doctor's appointment. Boo.

The next morning, we headed back to Corn Dawgs for our sweet neighbor's 3rd birthday party! Man, it was fun! Stephen and I had as much fun as Sydney and Taylor did. It was a little chilly, but Parker was bundled up and slept through the entire party (are you noticing a theme with him?). We had a blast. Pictures will follow shortly.

My parents came down to spend the day with us while Stephen ventured to his first Tech game in weeks. Then, my good friend Allison came over to visit. The girls had a great time hanging out with her. We handled the night routine by ourselves and I got to sit down and chill for a bit. I have to say, I am loving these fun weekends of activities and seeing friends and family. Sydney now asks me everyday... "Who is coming over today?" When I say "Nobody" (like today), she'll say a whiny, "Whyyyyy??" Apparently I'm not entertaining enough.
