Europe Trip- Day 3

We flew to Stockholm, Sweden, and were greeted by two of Stephen's cousins- Panteha and Pedram!  We haven't seen them in almost 15 years, so it was SO great to see them.  They drove us to their mom's condo in Uppsala, Sweden, which is a town about 40 minutes north of Stockholm. They both live nearby, as well.

We got to see his aunt, meet Panteha's three kids, and just hang out for most of the day!  We went to a mall to buy a basketball (shocker!), and we played at a nearby park.  Sydney and I went on a walk.  That night, we went to his aunt's restaurant, and she made us all delicious dinners.  It was a fun day!

Europe Trip- Days 1 and 2

We recently got back from a 15 day European vacation- and I am tired! ;)  It was an absolute blast.  We went to three countries, rode 2 cross-country trains, flew 6 different flights, took lots of buses, rode on some ferries, and did a ton of walking.  We got to do so many fun and different things.  I'm going to split this into the different days of our trip, so I won't overwhelm you, and so I can remember our trip down the road!

Day 1 was flying from Atlanta to Boston, and then we took the red-eye from Boston to Reykjavik, Iceland.  Day 2 was a half-day of exploring Iceland and ended with us crashing hard around 3 PM. (we didn't sleep on the plane!)

Along with the breakfast, we got to check out the museum.

It was really cold.  I think it was about 41 degrees F.

The Bridge Between Continents- it connects the Eurasian continental plate with the North American continental plate.  

Poor Taylor couldn't hang at lunch.  We were all completely exhausted!

We checked into our VRBO and basically showered and slept!

The next day, we left for Stockholm, Sweden!

Whew.  May was exhausting.  It was wonderfully exhausting, but still exhausting.  SO. MANY. EVENTS.  Work was crazy.  Kids were done.  Sports were wrapping up.  There are many early morning and late nights.  Throw in a 10-day summer cold of some sorts. I wouldn't change it for the world, except maybe adding 4 more hours of sleep to each day (and not having the cold)!

This makes me laugh.  These birds kept building a nest in the corner.  Taylor had made this bird-scaring thing a few years ago, and Stephen put it in the corner.  The way the bird is looking at it like, what in the world?... it makes me laugh! ;)

I had all of Sydney's teachers from Pre-K to 8th grade sign this book.  I gave it to her this year! She had no clue.
