Our trip to Pigeon Forge!

Pigeon Forge- Day 4/5

This morning, we got up early and headed to Gatlinburg to meet a photographer to get some family photos taken!  We did this same idea for my parents' 40th anniversary, when we rented a cabin in Lake Lure, NC.  My how things have changed from then... (see photo down below)

The photographer was great, and we got some fun shots!

(Flashback to 2007)

Stephen... keeper of the purse!

After this, the kiddo were running on the basketball court at this park, playing tag.  Parker collided with his cousin, who's bigger than he is, and he fell sideways, konking his head on the concrete.  This boy has hit his head 1,000 times in his life, but he wouldn't stop crying about it.  We decided to take him back to the cabin.  My parents and brother took the girls with them.  On the way home, Parker couldn't stay awake- it was almost as if he was going in and out of consciousness.  Definitely one of the scariest things I've seen with one of my kids.  We ended up taking him to the ER.  Luckily, he perked up as we walked in, only to start acting that way again when we got into a room.  The doc checked him out, and they wanted us to "watch and wait" for 2 hours in the hospital so they could monitor him.  THANKFULLY his vitals were good and he was good to go.  They said to watch him for certain symptoms and to check in with the pediatrician the next day.

We went back home for a bit to rest.  Parker was acting back to his normal self, thank goodness.  Later that day, we went to a little amusement park for little kids.  The kids got to play, and the bigger girls and me, Stephen, and Jen got to ride on the fast go kart track.  Super fun!

The next morning, we had to leave early so Stephen could get back to mow the lawn, do a conference call, and, basically, get back to reality.

Goodbye, mountains! :(

We had a blast!

Pigeon Forge- Day 3

Today, we all slept in a little bit, and mom made us all a huge breakfast.  I went on a little solo jog- again, the views were gorgeous.

We decided to go to a mondo-children's museum called WonderWorks!  It was a little rainy/overcast, plus it was Saturday, so the place was pretty crowded.  It was super cool, though- really good for all ages.  Here's what round 1 at WonderWorks looked like:

It's an upside-down house!

This tunnel was CRAZY.  As you walked across the normal bridge, you'd stumble to the right because of the lights.

Go Sydney!

Go Taylor!

Ouch.

These were cards they got that said why they were arrested.

I snuck a picture of the gallery where you can buy them (and totally got caught!) :(

After a couple of hours, we left WonderWorks and met my parents (who were antiquing) at a restaurant for lunch.  This place was like holy-southern food.  It was amazing.  And totally low cal. ;)

The apple butter was that good.

We went back home for a bit, and then decided to hit up WonderWorks again that evening, Round 2!  This time, Mom, Kendall and Stephen stayed home, while Dee Dad came with us.  (Our tix were good all day).  It was great this go-round, because it wasn't as crowded.  We closed the place down at 10 PM!

Does this remind anyone else of Big?

Sydney, Taylor, Madeline, and Kerrigan did this.

Go Parker! (That was as high as he got- I was shocked!)

Today was a blast- but I was exhausted!
