(Flashback to 2007)
Stephen... keeper of the purse!
After this, the kiddo were running on the basketball court at this park, playing tag. Parker collided with his cousin, who's bigger than he is, and he fell sideways, konking his head on the concrete. This boy has hit his head 1,000 times in his life, but he wouldn't stop crying about it. We decided to take him back to the cabin. My parents and brother took the girls with them. On the way home, Parker couldn't stay awake- it was almost as if he was going in and out of consciousness. Definitely one of the scariest things I've seen with one of my kids. We ended up taking him to the ER. Luckily, he perked up as we walked in, only to start acting that way again when we got into a room. The doc checked him out, and they wanted us to "watch and wait" for 2 hours in the hospital so they could monitor him. THANKFULLY his vitals were good and he was good to go. They said to watch him for certain symptoms and to check in with the pediatrician the next day.
We went back home for a bit to rest. Parker was acting back to his normal self, thank goodness. Later that day, we went to a little amusement park for little kids. The kids got to play, and the bigger girls and me, Stephen, and Jen got to ride on the fast go kart track. Super fun!
The next morning, we had to leave early so Stephen could get back to mow the lawn, do a conference call, and, basically, get back to reality.
