The whole fam rented a cabin up in Sevierville, a town right next to Pigeon Forge, TN, for 5 days to celebrate our parents. There was a total of 8 adults and 7 kiddos, ages 3 - 14. You can imagine there was never a dull (or quiet!) moment.
We had a really fun trip. I'll document it day-by-day! Here is day 1 (Thursday):
Stephen, the kiddos and I left for Tennessee in the morning. We had a 4+ hour drive ahead of us, and the weather wasn't our friend. It rained pretty much the whole way! We had a fairly non-eventful drive, stopping for lunch and conference calls (both Stephen and myself) and once on the side of the road during the mountainous parts so Stephen and Sydney could get some fresh air. Darn motion sickness. Finally, we made it to the cabin!
When we got there, my parents had already arrived. We got settled; soon after we welcomed my brother and his fam from Nashville; and later my sister and her family from Gainesville. Stephen and I were responsible for cooking dinner that evening for everybody, so we made a grocery run. The rest of the night, we all caught up, hung out, and hit the hay for the next day!
Seriously... 5 days. That's all we would be there. 5 days.
