Vacay- Day 5 (last day!)

Friday:  Well... we've reached the end of our vacation.  Sniff sniff.  Today was really uneventful, and was all about traveling.  We woke up, ate breakfast, packed up the car, and headed to Buffalo.  Our flight left at 1:30 PM, but we left the hotel at 8:45 AM to make sure we got there in time.

Taylor and Parker took short naps in the car.  I'm talking, all of 30 minutes.  This is important to note, because these were the only naps they ended up taking all day!  (You can probably imagine where this post is going)

We made it to the airport in good time, and grabbed lunch before we boarded.  The kids even played in a little play area.

The flight to Chicago was okay... Parker was a bit restless on the plane.  He's into this thing now where he screams out, spits (like blowing raspberries), and hits.  This went well on the airplane, let me tell you.

But, we made it to Chicago!!!

Our layover was only 45 minutes at Midway Airport, so we just went from gate to gate.  We were all boarded, when they made an announcement that our plane was "overweight".  They said they were working on either taking off luggage or people.  45 minutes later (after we should've taken off), they decided to take off 4 people.  Well, you can imagine how a sleepy/cranky/bored Parker was acting.  He hung in there on the flight until the last 45 minutes, which were TERRIBLE.  He was screaming, kicking, squirming, hitting, scratching.  I was annoyed because right when this started was when we should have been landing.  So, we had to endure some stress at the end.  As you can see, no more pictures were taken. ;)

Then, when we got back in ATL, our luggage didn't come out.  We were afraid that they may have taken off some bags to help with the overweight issue, and ours were some of them.  We had to wait in a long line to fill out a claim.  We got on our shuttle bus and were about to leave when they called... they found them!  I still don't know what happened to them, but we didn't care at that point.  We drove back home and got in after 10 PM (we were supposed to originally land at 5:50.  We thought we'd be home by 8 PM, at the latest).  It was just a long afternoon/evening.  

So, the end of our trip wasn't great, but I don't want it to diminish the rest of our trip.  We really had a wonderful time, and I'd recommend Toronto to anyone wanting to see a new place/city/country without having to travel too far!
