Reunion @ the Mountain House

This past weekend, our dear family friends came all the way to the mountain house (near the border of North/South Carolina) from Florida to have a friend "reunion".  This had been on the calendar for almost a year, so it was hard to believe the date was finally here!

The family that came up was Pat and Neal (my mom's best friend is Pat, and I have always called them "aunt" and "uncle"); their son, Rick, his wife Julie, and their 3 kids; and their daughter, Lynley, her husband, Paul, and their three kids.  Adding in my parents, brother and his fam, sister and her fam, and us, that totaled 27 people!

It was such a fun weekend.  The kids were: 16, 16, 14, 13, 10, 10, 8, 8, 6, 5, 5, 4, 3- so there was someone to play with everyone.  My mom made some amazing meals, we all hung around, played games, caught up.  The weather was beautiful, so we got a lot of lake time in.  Taylor took the whole "jumping off the high dock" thing to the next level and went off the rope swing!  Rick brought his drone and we had fun videoing with that.  Uncle Neal brought all kinds of games up- kickball, tug of war, baseball, paddleball, etc.  The weekend went off without a hitch!.  It was so fun that Rick and his wife were trying to find a way to miss work on Monday to stay an extra day. ;)
