What a month! Parker is starting to turn into more of a "toddler" than a baby. Here are some of his accomplishments!
- Lots and lots of new foods, including oranges, cheese, different meats, yogurt, and much more.
- We started giving him whole milk about a week ago! He hasn't had any issues with it so far, knock on wood.
- He loves to dance and clap to songs, especially "if you're happy and you know it".
- We are about to pack up the bottles! (hello, counter space!) He still loves his bottles the most, but we're pretty much breaking him end of using bottles all day except the morning or the evening. The rest of the time it's sippy cups. He's finally gotten the hang of using the hard-top sippy cups. Before then, he would only drink from the soft-top ones and just scream if we gave him anything else.
- Early in his 12th month, he started standing on his own, not holding onto anything, for short periods of time. Now he's standing for about a minute.
- No first steps yet! He's walking all around, holding onto things. It's like he's just not quite sure about being on his own yet.
- He's really communicating now- he babbles all the time, he makes squealing noises, he imitates what we say. He also uses gestures to communicate- mostly good, but some bad- I've noticed him hit Sydney or Taylor or pull their hair if they do something he doesn't like! I verbally correct him with "no!" but it's kind of fun to see his little feisty side come out. He will need it!
- He "ran" in his first 5K this month!
- Poor Parker had Hand, Foot, Mouth for a week this month.
- His hair is really coming in, and it's starting to curl!
Poor guy.
