Cali- Day 3

So, the girls were singing our names a little later this morning... 4 AM!  Again, we tried to delay it as long as possible, but 5 AM seemed to be the time that we were up and ready to go.  I went for a jog around the neighborhood while Stephen attempted to do some work.  Mike went into work today for a half-day, so Ashley, Stephen, the kiddos, and I walked to a local playground, which was about a mile away.  The weather had turned much colder and it was supposed to rain , so we wanted to do any outside activities in the morning!

Around lunchtime, we drove into downtown Willow Glen, which is the area of San Jose where Ashley and Mike live. It was adorable!  It wasn't a run-down little downtown, like many GA towns have.  It was big and reminded me of what the 1960s would have been like... cute stores, restaurants, candy stores, yogurt stores, etc. 

We went to a Mexican place (gourmet Barberitos) for lunch, and Mike met us there.  Then, we walked around downtown Willow Glen, until the rain started to come down.  We did manage to visit the coolest candy store ever (with candy from all decades) and get some frozen yogurt (the owner was nice enough to comp my yogurt since I was an out-of-town guest). 

The rest of the day, we laid low, watched the kiddos play, listened to the rain, chatted, laughed, ordered pizza, and hit the hay.  It was our last night in San Jose... so sad!
